DISCOVER OUR HISTORY
an old dream: that of a world in peace, without borders
In 1949, in Cahors, citizens inspired by Garry Davis’ appeal, launched an unprecedented project: to make the Lot the heart of an ideal of peace without borders. Cahors became the first town to sign the Globalisation Charter. 239 towns followed, and a symbolic road was traced. In 2001, the Cahors Mundi association was reborn to keep this memory alive. Today, it is reviving it through a festival for peace, looking towards the future.
